Conclusion

After eight days and in a result of six acquitals, the court convicted Hugh Montgomery and Matthew Kilroy of the lesser charge of manslaughter because they had been found to have deliberately fired their shots at the Bostonian colonists in the Boston Massacre. The other soldiers fired the colonists either in self defense or by accident. They would then be sent to jail for The other soldiers including Captain Thomas Preston were declared guilty, but not without any trauma. Some were forced to quit the army as they could not handle their positions anymore after the events of the Boston Massacre.
